5/4/18

Today some of our lucky over 50's were invited by the FA to play at St Georges Park in a short tournament against three other walking football teams along with other youth teams from the region. In addition to the tournaments the teams all got a tour of England’s training ground and amazing facilities at the centre in Burton.

Whilst there the FA hosted the UEFA Under 17 European Championship fixtures draw where honorary ambassador Wayne Rooney and ex England Ladies Alex Scott took part. Our very own England Over 50's Manager Paul Murtagh and team coach David Castle got a brief meet with current England Team Manager Gareth Southgate and quizzed him for advice on the up and coming England games
