Last Sunday saw BWFC field two teams against Chelsea in an exhibition match hosted by Chelsea Women. The three 20 minute matches took place at the Chelsea Women's Kingsmeadow stadium. Both the men's and the ladies teams played on pitches side by side simultaneously. The first match played was multi touch walking football where the BWFC men's team won 5-3 and the BWFC ladies won 1-0. The next match was a 3 touch walking football game, this time the ladies lost out to a more experienced 3 touch ladies side 1-0 but the men's held firm and won their game 3-1! The final game was back to what we know (multi touch) where the men finished their run of wins 3-0 with the ladies getting the same score line! The hosts then treated the teams to lunch and seats at the Birmingham Women's WSL game against Chelsea. Many thanks to the very accommodating Chelsea Women and management for organising a great away day for our players.
