WOMENS FESTIVAL OF FOOTBALL

Last Sunday BWFC Women’s Whites Team attended the County FA Festival Of Football held at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst. There were two league groups with teams each playing 4 x 15 minute games with the first and second of each group playing a 20 minute semi final and the winners a 30 minute final, to win the Jay Adams Women’s Festival Cup.

LA LIGA TEAMS- Hartshill Strollers / Birmingham Whites / Northampton / Arden Forest green / MK Utd WWF

SERIES A TEAMS – Long Eaton /Leicester / Braunton / Arden Forest Pink / MK City WWF

Birmingham’s first game was against Hartshill where they lost in a close match 2 – 1. Next up was MK Utd WWF where the girls found the back of the net FOUR times and kept a clean sheet! Their third match against Northampton was a close affair an ended 0-0. The last game in the group was against Arden Forest Green where once again the team dug deep to secure a win 1-0.

Into the semi final BWFC Whites get drawn against Braunton who had the edge at the end of a long day and lost out 2-0.

Birmingham came away with a performance to be proud of and Goal keeper Kaz receiving the award for Best Player!
